The hospital comenced functioning in June 2005 as a corporate Limited Company. The board of Directors are :-

Managing Director – Mir Ashraf Ali, B.Sc

Director – Mir Atahar Ali, B.Sc in Engineering (Electrical & Electronic)

Director – Mir Motaher Ali – B.Sc

The hospital was inaugurated by H.E. Mr Anwar Chaudhury, the then British High Commissioner for Bangladesh on the 14th February 2006.

Dr Azmal Hospital

is currently one of a number of leading hospitals with a 50-bed premise located in Central Mirpur, Dhaka. It was founded by Dr. Mir Azmal Ali, who till recently was working at the Central Middlesex Hospital, London as Consultant Anaesthetist and Intensivist. It is a nine story building with an underground parking facility. The hospital has a medical library & museum and a 120 seat seminar room. It actively initiates health promotional campaigns & has worked in the past in observing National Immunization Day.
